Fun game will appeal to budget-minded gridiron fans

While EA’s Madden NFL 2010 grabbed the spotlight at the “Rock & Roll” Apple event in San Francisco earlier this week, it’s not the only licensed NFL game on the App Store. Gameloft beat EA to the punch several weeks ago with the release of NFL 2010. The results are good, not spectacular.

Macworld user reviews IN DETAIL:

Definitely not a great game

This game was a nice football game, but Gameloft seems to always never meet full expectations.Gameloft, instead of rolling out a game every two weeks, please work on a game with more heart, and fix all bugs and mistakes, and make sure people will actually like the game.

Looks good to start, but drops the ball later...

This game gives you high expectations from the trailer and on into the first play, but then developers just drop the ball. Clunky interface stops the game midplay so you press player navigation buttons. Also makes you go through several screens to pick each play, which is really boring. For defense, you pick the play before being able to look at the offense, or examine a pattern of previous plays. It's really silly and a waste of time selecting them. But the game delivers on sounds and graphics, and is fun despite those criticisms.
