Trio of apps have their pluses, but also flaws that keep them from out of the head of the class

As a part of my iPhone Readers' Guide, I discovered that we hadn't yet reviewed three iPhone e-book reader apps. These apps all have unique features that make them worth considering; they also have flaws that prevent them from being the class of the category. That distinction still falls on Lexcycle's Stanza ().

Macworld user reviews IN DETAIL:

Great ebook reader

I use this to read ebooks from fictionwise and other web sites and love it's portability. Although it only supports limited formats and has a smaller screen on the itouch, it's a free alternative to a hardware-based ereader. It has more features than the Kindle iphone app and I can buy ebooks from various sites, not just Amazon. compared to the Kindle iphone app, ereader can scroll (you can adjust the speed) for hands free reading, has a search function, categories for sorting, and gives locations in pages which makes it easier to see where you are in the book vs. whatever count the kindle app uses (line count?). I have more books listed under my ereader than kindle app and use it daily and that should say more than enough about this app.
