ShoveBox Mobile Review

Mobile app proves worthy companion to ShoveBox desktop app
There seems to be a flood of content-management applications for the Mac, one of which is ShoveBox. Up until recently, this content—text, images, URLs—has had to stay localized on one computer. But ShoveBox maker Wonder Warp has come out with an iPhone app that lets you collect, organize, and edit data when you’re out and about, syncing that data with your Mac.

Keep track of those URLs
Everyday I come across a web page I may want to return to, or show to a friend, but do not want to bookmark. This is where ShoveBox shines. Just highlight the URL and drag it to the ShoveBox icon in the menu bar and there it stays for as long as you like. Use ShoveBox Mobile when you're away from your Mac to return to any of the sites you have saved. Also lets you use your iPhone to take pictures or write notes to yourself for later syncing with your Mac. I have also been experimenting with Evernote, but I think ShoveBox's simplicity and elegance will rule out.
ShoveBox is awesome
I have been in love with ShoveBox on my mac for a while now. I was psyched when the iPhone app came out. I just really wish it had over the air sync. I dont even want an online interface, I just want a behind the scenes web sync of my stuff. if they add that, 5 stars baby!
Fabulously functional
This app offers a lot of functionality, and content can be added from your workflow easily and efficiently. I have been using both ShoveBox and Evernote quite heavily for some time, and I have yet to be able to make a decision on eliminating one of them. Their features are similar, but the differences (cloud syncing vs WiFi syncing, to name one) keep the debate in my head raging. I've been disappointed when my iPhone is out of range and I bring up Evernote, only to find my data unretrievable from the cloud. ShoveBox syncs via WiFi (meaning you need to be back on your LAN), but the data is stored on your phone. ShoveBox also maintains text formatting, whereas Evernote does not. Oh, and ShoveBox organizes by folders. Evernote organizes by tags.
