Pocket God Review

Reviewed Unknown

Act like anything but a benevolent deity in this amusing casual game

Some people relax with their iPhones using Zen Garden. Some of us prefer to chill by throwing virtual islanders to the sharks. If you're in the latter group, Pocket God is right up your alley.

Macworld user reviews IN DETAIL:

Fun

With each update, this game keeps you entertained for a few more hours.

Great little app

It's almost in the vein of a crazy Sim world gone awry. For .99, you get a little tropical island and up to 6 pigmies that are all yours to control. Kill them in nasty ways (my favorite is having a dodo bird fly away with them while they try to eat a fish, or flicking them into a distant volcano), or shower them with gifts (like keeping sharks away while they fish, or helping them make fire). To top it off, the game obeys gravity and responds to tilting the phone to make them fly away or slide into the sea. The best part is that updates, called episodes, add new features to the game and new ways to torture, ahem, I mean amuse your natives. It's silly, simple, and fun.

Fun game for the price

Pocket God is a cute little game that allows you to play God. The fun part is that you can add and remove people in your game on a little island. You can have a vampire bat bite a person at night and knock all the people off your island. You can have your people eaten by a shark and ants. Tons of fun!
