App provides a number of tools for identifying music

Few things are as maddening as hearing a song on the radio and not being able to recall the name of the artist or the title of the track itself. Fortunately, the App Store has several options that put the answer to such nagging questions right in your pocket. One such app is the well-regarded Shazam, which can identify music tracks playing anywhere near your iPhone. Midomi Music Identifier and Search from Melodis pulls off the same feat, only with a few more tools than Shazam has at its disposal.

Play, Sing or Hum to Search for songs!

Have you ever driven yourself crazy trying to figure out the name of that song and its just on the tip of your tongue? You know what I'm talking about, I've done it a million times and i've seen people do it! You're in a restaurant with a friend and you say "yeah you know that song that says this in the chorus" and you sing the chorus to your friend and they look at you like your crazy (along with the rest of the restaurant!) We'll Midomi is the perfect app for you! Midomi is a song identification application, which allows you to press a large orange button, hold your iPhone up to some music playing in your car, in a resturant, or practically anywhere, and find out the artist and title of the song. Midomi also allows you to sing or hum the song, as well as just say an artist or title. You can also type the name of the artist or song title and do a search without singing a note! This is great for those times mentioned above, that will save you the embarrassment! The interface is very streamlined and simple which makes it that much more easier to find what your looking for! Basically, it's a huge orange button that when pressed starts listening for the song playing or your rendition of the song. Below that is a smaller button which allows you to say the song title or artist. Next to that is a search bar which allows you to type your search information. There's only two more tabs in Midomi, a history which allows you to see your past searches, and a help tab which gives instructions on how to use the app. The help tab also gives a few tips to help you make better searches. When you complete a search it gives you several options with your findings. First is an short clip of the song complete with a link to buy on itunes. (I would save a lot of money if that link wasn't there!) Next is the option to bookmark or share your findings. Under that is several links to youtube videos of the song, and a link to do a search for the song lyrics. And Finally, a tab for
