##### How to Control: - MACH Move : Tilt the iPhone left or right. Back in high school on the weekends, I could often be found playing side-scrolling action games that were fun and didn’t need to be taken too seriously. This idea has returned with HeavyMach, a side-scrolling tank game by developer IndieAn in which your tank must wipe out opposing forces to reach the next level. Grab power-ups, additional armor and weapons such as missiles, lasers and bombing runs to even the odds and you’re good to go.
Heavy Mach. is a good throwback to the days of side-scrolling games that made the Sega Genesis so popular. The music and concept are on target for a flashback experience of the glory days of 16-bits of fury. The graphics and controls however, are very much up to date. As much as you may feel like you need a D-pad three button controller, this game excels on the iPhone/ipod Touch platform. There are tons of levels and campaigns to explore with increasing difficulty. But don't get your hopes up too much, because like the 16-bit days of old, the levels don't progress too much. Once you've rolled through one level, you've rolled through them all.
