Gas Cubby - Great App

I drive 65,000 miles per year and use this app everyday. It is easy to use when I am filling up on the road. The service reminders are also helpful. I bought a new iPhone and some installation problems and customer service helped me make the transition. This app is well worth the money.

What I Was Looking For

I was using a different gas tracker app but I wanted one that would track my maintenance, track my gas, remind me of maintenance and also sync to my Bride's iPhone as well. This app does all that. Thanks Gas Cubby for putting some thought into your product.

Its a great App. It gives you MPG on your last tank, or the whole accumulated history of fill-ups, or a combination of vehicles you are tracking. I have three years of back data in mine. It exports, backs up, and is as solid as a rock. Mine's never crashed, nor have I ever lost data. Its easy enough to use at the pump while you are filling up. Done and done and on your way.

My most consistently used app

I can't think of another app that I've used as many times or as consistently as Gas Cubby. The devs really put some thought into it, and came out with a fantastic gas milage, cost, and car service tracker. I had been writing everything down on the blank pages of my service manual, but having to do the calculations myself meant it took a few extra minutes at the station to do so. With GC, everything is done instantly once you input the data, and it has tons of info you want to know, but never felt like calculating yourself. Overall a very helpful app for budgeting as well, as I can track how much I spend per month on gas and car maintenance. Thanks guys!

An excellent tool for mileage

When I drive on long trips, I like to hypermile (modify my driving/car so that I get the best mileage). Gas Cubby makes it super easy to keep track of my mileage, which helps me figure out the best ways to drive to get the most out of my gasoline. Not only does hypermiling save me money, but it's also a more efficient use of gas, which means I go farther on a smaller amount of fossil fuel. Gas Cubby is the perfect tool for keeping my car in top shape, which means I save money and keep the air cleaner.

I have been looking for a App to replace the paper/pencil log for car maintenance that I keep in the car. Since my phone is always with me, this works great. The developer has paid great attention to detail, making this App one of my favorites. I don't use the gas mileage part as I don't really need it. The car service maintenance section alone makes this App worth the money. I like the ability to add "services" in order to customize it for my needs. I track lots of things and do preventive maintenance. The service reminders are very helpful. My 1997 Camry is approaching 300,000 miles due to preventive maintenance. This App will help me continue to take care of my car. I recommend reading the "manual" on their web site before beginning. Click on the "eye-ball" shaped icon on the bottom left of the front screen and then "Open User Manual in Safari." This is an excellent App if you want to take care of your car. Most mechanics will say, "Pay me now or pay me later." Preventive maintenance is the way to go!

The price drop makes it worth it

This is a great app to track you mileage and service on your car. The interface is very clean and they pay a lot of attention to detail. I was really frustrated by the $10 price, but I am happy to pay 3-5 for it. I actually enjoyed it so much that I bought the Health Cubby app as well. The sync is a definite plus! If you can find it on sale (less that 10 bucks) do not pass it up!!

Just what I was looking for

This app has many strong points to it:1. Incredibly easy to use interface. Ability to re-use different aspects (locations, tags, etc)2. 'At the pump process'. While creating it simply walks you through step-by-step to put in the information. The app is informative of the progress (step X of X), and doesn't have any crazy requirements for the fields.3. The app learns. As you add more data, it becomes easier to use and quicker to load in data when you stop.4. Reports. This has to be one of the best parts, for me. Being able to quickly see overall stats, quickly sort and filter them, and even export reports based on criteria. This gives you a nicely formatted email, with a CSV attachment of the report, allowing me to have full control of my data.Most importantly: This app gets out of the way. It let's you achieve your task without being pesky. It is extremely stable and intuitive.Well worth the price point and more. Thanks to the AppCubby team for their work on this app.

It is great and will fill all of your needs. The guys over at Appcubby are awesome people. Try out the lite version of course but there's no doubt you'll be hooked.

Your Car's "Medical" History

I'm a bit of an OCD record keeper with regard to my vehicles. Inside the glove box of my car there is a little book for recording gas fill-ups. This current book has over 4 years of data inscribed on its pages. I like the "old school" of it, but it can be a bit of a chore to calculate all the averages and other "reports" I might desire from such a hand-managed record. I have a desk drawer devoted to maintenance documentation.Enter Gas Cubby from App Cubby. I installed this application on my iPhone back in early May and couldn't be more pleased. It's more than just a means to record your fill-ups and garner all the relevant data in so doing—you can also record the vehicle's maintenance (car care) history as well as see all that data beautifully regurgitated for your consumption. You'll know how long before you need to rotate/balance your tires, change your oil and even check to see how much your gas-guzzler is running you at the garage.The usability of this app is incredibly easy and rather intuitive. I like to record as much information as possible per fill-up, so it takes me maybe 30 seconds longer to enter the extra data that I hadn't before (Station used, location, tire pressure). As an information junkie, I certainly don't mind. You can alter the Settings to record as much or as little as you like.The charts are incredibly easy to read and can give you quick, at-a-glance data regarding the performance of your car. You can select a slice of time from 1 week to 1 year. There are five charts to examine: MPG, Gas Stats, Gas Price Per Gallon, Total Gas Expenses and Total Service Expenses. Each one quickly digestible and even fun to look at (unless it's the Gas Expenses chart which, in this economy and our thirst for fuel, can be gut wrenching).The maintenance portion of the application is just as robust, allowing you to enter as much or as little data as you think is relevant to your concerns. Quality app

I've used the lite version of this app for a few weeks now. I love how easy it is to measure your gas usage, and the awesome reporting. The thing that really sets this app apart is the fact that it syncs to a server so you never lose your information, something that is missing from many available apps. Personally I'm hoping the price drops a bit on this product, but it's a really solid app overall! Nicely done!
