Public Radio Tuner delivers breadth, MPR focuses on one station
Nordic farmers, Brahms in B minor, and Keynesian economic discussions may not seem to share a lot of common ground at first glance. But they do—at least on public radio. The eclectic mix of news, talk, and music available over the airwaves courtesy of public radio stations throughout the U.S. would seem a perfect fit for the iPhone and iPod touch. After all, National Public Radio’s assorted podcasts are a fixture among the Top 10 lists in the iTunes Store. A pair of public radio-friendly apps hope to make a similar splash on the App Store’s charts.

well done
Given that public radio has become so politicized I don't listen to it that much... Love the comedy shows on the weekends and some of the vintage radio shows they play on my local pbs.But the app is well done. I like the search feature so I can skip all the lefty politics.
A new version 2.0 has just been released
In addition to the excellent list of pubic Radio Stations available, the new version offers a Search function, an On Demand function, which connects you to podcasts of previous programs, and las but not least, a program guide for most stations. Highly recommended.
