Mobile version of board game has its quirks, but it’s still pretty fun

For me, family gatherings are always a time to brush up on vocabulary. Somebody inevitably breaks out Scrabble—usually the pocket version of the game—and it isn’t long before we’re demonstrating our word power, tile-by-tile. The iPhone version of Scrabble from Electronic Arts looks to bring this into the 21st century.

For a start it costs less (and there's a free version), and it gives you the option of playing random opponents across the internet.

I always enjoyed a good game of Scrabble. Years passed and the board game became less a part of my entertainment list. (Too much trouble, too long, too slow, etc.)With this App, the old days are back. Identical to the board game, this App is great for times when you just want to get your mind off other things but don't just want to 'veg' out in front of the TV. I've never used the WiFi capability to play others; I've chosen to play against the computer or all by myself.
