Adam Iser has released a new version of his Mac OS X-native online messaging and chat client,
Adium.
Adium is a third-party AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) client. The software features a clean and compact design, no banner ads, extensive customizability and a dual-window mode that enables you to view several individual chat sessions by clicking on tab markers. Because it's written in Cocoa, it takes advantage of features like anti-aliased text, spell-checking, and, as Iser puts it, "other cocoa-y perks."
