MacTable store opens, holds 'Mac User Setup' contest

A new Mac-focused Web store, MacTable, opened for business today, selling furniture, accessories and gadgets designed to complement a high-end Mac system.

To celebrate their launch, the folks at MacTable are holding "The Great Mac User Setup Contest," where anyone with a Mac based home or business system can submit a photo of their setup. Do so, and you have the chance to win a MacTable computer desk, regularly priced at almost US$1,500.00. The contest closes at midnight (Central), Dec. 31, and the winner will be announced on Jan. 7. Rules can be found at the MacTable Web site.

"Of all the different features I've found on the Mac Web, the one that consistently gives me pleasure is seeing pictures of how other Mac owners have set up and accessorized their systems," MacTable's founder, Jack Campbell, said in announcing the contest. "I have built a special photo gallery into the MacTable Web site that I hope, over time, will grow to be the largest online gallery of Mac system setups."

MacTable sells a variety of tables, desks, chairs, lamps, accessories and gadgets. Accessories include some exotic clocks and the "Bar Boy," a mobile container and side-table rolled into one. Among the gadgets on sale are high-end speakers, FireWire hard drives and LCD displays.
