iView goes pro

iView MediaPro 1.0, a new version of the iView media management software from iView Multimedia, was announced for both Mac OS 9 and OS X last week at Macworld San Francisco.

MediaPro lets you manage, organize, find, view, play, print, and convert various types of media files on your computer. It's the only media browser capable of full PDF and EPS rendering, according to the company.

Other import formats include HTML, Quark, Canvas, Painter, Live Picture, Freehand, PageMaker, Illustrator, GIF, JPG, TIFF, PICT, GX, BMP, Targa, EPS, fonts, sounds, movies, QuickTime VR, animation, MPEG, PNG, Photoshop, MIDI, karaoke, Electric Image, Electronic Arts, CorelDraw, ClarisWorks, AppleWorks and more.

You can use MediaPro to create a slideshow that can play music and have up to 16 photos or movies onscreen simultaneously. It's targeted to digital camera users, Photoshop users, artists, and desktop publishers. Or you can use it to create catalogs with up to 32,000 files.

iView MediaPro is now available for download. The cost is US $45.
