First available to attendees of last week's Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo, Freeverse Software's Burning Monkey Solitaire 3 is now shipping to retailers nationwide, according to the publisher.
It's the latest version of Freeverse's popular and irreverent solitaire game series for the Mac. Burning Monkey Solitaire 3 does feature plenty of simian entertainment (though blessedly little primate conflagration). 16 monkeys keep you entertained (and occasionally distracted) through 26 different variations on solitaire card games.
An extensive cheating mode is included, along with an Internet-based high score recording system. Detailed stats are maintained for each game, and casino scoring is also available. You can customize your Burning Monkey Solitaire experience with new jokes to download. There are various alternate decks and backgrounds you can cycle through. And you can play your own MP3s or other audio files through QuickTime, as well.
Available for Mac OS X v10.1 or higher, Mac OS 9.0 or higher, and various flavors of Windows, Burning Monkey Solitaire 3 costs US$24.95 and can be ordered from Freeverse's own e-commerce store if you can't find it on the shelves of your local retailer.
Also, make sure to bookmark burningmonkey.com, where you'll find "easter eggs of the week:" hidden goodies stored in Burning Monkey Solitaire 3 just waiting for you to find.
