Japan-based RecoSoft has begun shipping PDF2Office v1.0, a tool designed for PDF document conversion and data extraction.
PDF2Office converts PDF files into fully editable text documents in Word, RTF, AppleWorks, HTML or other formats. The software re-creates the original layout of the page, formatting paragraphs, applying styles, creating headers and footers and more without user intervention.
The software is available in a single user license for at US$99.00 -- an introductory price good from now until March 1,2004. An educational license version is available for $89.00.
