On Tuesday, Eovia Corp. released updaters for their high-end 3D creation application Amapi Designer 7 as well as their 3D modeling, animation, and rendering package Carrara Studio 3. The former, which brings Amapi Designer to version 7.1, offers support for Mac OS X version 10.3 Panther and mouse scroll wheels on the Mac as well as other enhancements, such as improvements to theme manager, the slice tool, Carrara export, and line display.
In addition, the Amapi Designer patch fixes a long list of bugs, including problems with saving and restoring from the catalog, printing issues on some Macs, and the lack of shortcuts for certain tools.
Meanwhile, the Carrara Studio 3.02 updater brings Eovia News Service, which automatically alerts you to the latest patches, to the application. It also fixes problems with Booleans, crashes caused by ATI's OpenGL 3.8 driver when resizing images, and over 60 other issues. Eovia recommends a complete reinstall of Carrara Studio before you install the updater.
