Macworld Conference & Expo
producers IDG World Expo on Tuesday announced a new format for the User Conference scheduled for next month's event. The User Conference schedule has been reformatted into five separate conference tracks, according to the company.
The User Conference introduce Macworld Expo attendees of all backgrounds to a wide variety of tools and techniques, according to IDG World Expo.
User Conference tracks scheduled for this year's show include:
Introducing Panther, an opportunity to explore the latest version of the Mac operating system from the inside out. Sessions in this track include, "Getting Comfortable with Mac OS X Panther," "Internet Power with Panther," and "Integrate Your Business Communications with Mac OS X Panther."
Cool Tools, which provides an in-depth first look at new software and tutorials on key applications for the Mac. Sessions in this track include, "Secrets of iLife Revealed," "Movie Making with Apple iSight," and "Music for Non-Musicians with Apple's SoundTrack."
Creative Juice Factory, featuring creative luminaries to inspire Mac users with new ideas to create stunning visual and graphic masterpieces. Sessions in this track include, "Creative Thinking in Photoshop," "Unleashing the Magic of Painter," and "It's the Fonts."
Digital Video, which examines the tools and applications available to help Mac users tackle the most ambitious video projects. Sessions in this track include, "Shooting Great DV," "An Intro to Visual Effects for Films on a Mac," and "Making iMovies with David Pogue."
Tech Tips, providing insights and advice to troubleshoot, tune and debug Macs and related applications. Sessions in this track include, "The Ultimate Mac OS X Installation," "How the Pros Troubleshoot," and "How to Survive the Internet on 2,000 Emails a Day."
User Conference participants will also be able to attend Steve Jobs' keynote presentation, scheduled for Tuesday, January 6th at 9AM PT. And they will also be able to attend Rick Smolan's feature presentation, where they can learn more about how Macs factored into Smolan's massive America 24-7 project -- that happens on Wednesday, January 7 at 9:30AM.
Now in its 20th year, Macworld Conference & Expo happens January 5 - 9, 2004 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. The User Conference happen January 7 - 8. Attendees can register for the User Conference package for US$245 before January 5, 2003.
