Macworld: Aspyr to publish Call of Duty for Mac

Aspyr Media Inc. announced Tuesday that it will release a Macintosh version of Call of Duty. Created by a new development team comprising almost two dozen individuals who developed the title Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Call of Duty is an action game set in World War II.

Development of the new game is being handled internally by Aspyr's own in-house team of Mac game conversion specialists, according to Aspyr. The company indicated that the Mac conversion has reached its First Playable development milestone, and is anticipating releasing the finished product in early April.

Call of Duty puts players in the battle through the eyes of American, British and Russian soldiers as they fight through 24 missions spanning four different historical campaigns. You'll engage in varied missions like sabotage, stealth, vehicle combat and rescue as you're given historically accurate weapons and visit historic locations.

Aspyr's Web site will be updated with more information about the game shortly.
