Independent games developer Chronic Logic LLC on Monday released a Mac OS X version of Gish, an unusual side-scrolling action game featuring an animated ball of tar. Gish and his girlfriend Brea are out for a sunday stroll when Brea is suddenly kidnapped by the sewer dwellers of the forgotten underground world of Dross. Gish must make his way through twisting mazes, traps and lots of enemies to reunite with Brea.
A playable demo is available for download; it requires a 1GHz or faster processor, 256MB RAM and a video card with at least 32MB of VRAM. Paying US$19.95 to register the game unlocks all 34 story levels, 20 "Collection"-mode levels, 6 unique Versus modes, 28 different Versus levels, hidden secrets and more.
