Datacolor subsidiary ColorVision and Pantone Inc. on Wednesday introduced the ColorVision Spyder2, a new monitor calibrator that works with Macs and PCs. The Spyder2 calibrates CRT, LCD and laptop displays and includes a filter pack system and light baffle to increase color measurement accuracy. The new light detectors are five times more sensitive than the Spyder2's predecessor, according to the companies. Bundled as part of the Spyder2PRO Studio kit, it costs US$299 and will ship in October. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later with an available USB port.
