O'Reilly announces OS X Innovators Contest winners
Technical book publisher O'Reilly on Tuesday revealed the winners of its second annual Mac OS X Innovators Contest, which was open to both hobbyists and professional developers. During this week's O'Reilly Mac OS X Conference, the company announced that the first place winner from the United States was Delicious Monster Software's barcode scanning application Delicious Library while the same prize in the International division went to Boinx Software's slideshow software FotoMagico.
Second place finishers in the U.S. and International categories were Zengobi's "ultimate notebook" application Curio and Aquafadas Software's "digital video shoebox," iDive, respectively. Finally, O'Reilly handed out a pair of honorable mentions: Rogue Amoeba's "downloadable radio station in a box" Nicecast was the domestic winner and Jumsoft's outlining tool Process scored international recognition.
First and second place winners in the U.S. received Apple Developer Connection (ADC) Premier and Select memberships, respectively. International contestants were not eligible for the ADC prizes, but all the winners earned free admission to the O'Reilly Mac OS X Conference.
