Grid MP 4.2 grid computing software now on Mac OS X

Austin, Texas-based United Devices on Tuesday introduced a new beta release of Grid MP 4.2, its software used to aggregate networked computing resources to create an enterprise grid. This is the first release of Grid MP to support Mac OS X, according to United Devices. Other operating systems supported by Grid MP include Windows, Solaris, AIX and Linux. Also new in this release is integration with identity management systems and other management features. Pricing was not immediately available.
