DVD Cruiser 16 supports Double Layer discs

Alera Technologies on Monday added the DVD Cruiser 16 to its line of DVD burners. The external device burns DVD+R discs at 16x speed, DVD-R discs at 8x speed and DVD+R Double Layer discs at 2.4x speed. In addition, it can burn CD-R and CD-RW media at 48x and 24x, respectively, and read DVDs and CDs at 16x and 49x speeds. The DVD Cruiser 16 is US$199 and connects via USB 2.0. NTI DragonBurn software is included. A product page was not available on the Alera Web site as MacCentral posted this article.
