German Mac game publisher e.p.i.c. interactive has announced it has released " Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood." The game is being distributed in North America by Freeverse Software.
Developed originally by Spellbound and published for the PC in 2002, Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood is a squad-based real time strategy game. You take the role of legendary hero Robin Hood as you use your band of Merry Men to battle the evil Prince John Lackland. The game features more than 30 non-linear missions where you have accomplish a variety of tasks like rescue Little John and Friar Tuck, or prevent a wedding between your beloved Marian and Guy of Gisbourne.
The game features five giant castles in different environments, varying times of day and weather conditions. Your team can include up to nine characters each with unique abilities and skills. You can use stealth or straight-on attacks depending on your preferences.
Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood requires a G3/300MHz or faster, Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and 128MB RAM, along with a video system with at least 8MB of VRAM. The game costs US$29.95.
