YML offers 'state of the Mac,' more radio news

This week on Your Mac Life, host Shawn King kicks off 2005 with a "State of the Mac" address, aided by Macworld and Playlist magazine editor Chris Breen, who speculates about iPod-related announcements coming at next week's Macworld expo; Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster, who offers his predictions for Apple during the coming year; and TidBITS newsletter publisher Adam Engst, who covers 2004's highlights and 2005's important events. As always, MacCentral and Macworld magazine's Peter Cohen drops in to dispense the latest Mac gaming news. The show is Webcast Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Pacific time (8:30 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern) as either a live video stream or an audio feed.

On Thursday, Mac Night Owl hosts Gene and Grayson Steinberg return from their holiday hiatus with Mac critic David Biedny, independent musician and GarageBand user Roger Adler and Vonage executive vice-president of operations Mike Tribolet, who updates the Internet telephone technology situation. You can listen in from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Pacific time (9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern), with an archive available within eight hours of the broadcast.

Inside Mac Radio, which broadcasts on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Pacific time (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern) both online and over radio station 1220 AM in the San Francisco Bay Area, now has its latest archive available. Last Saturday, host Scott Sheppard spoke with Outspring's Jeff Baudin and Seth Spitzer, former Police drummer Stewart Copeland and Harvey Stone of Brenthaven, which sells computer cases.

The Gamesome Mac, which broadcasts on Mondays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Pacific time (9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern), has been off the air for the holidays. Look for hosts Sean Smith and David Finley to return next Monday.
