Griffin Technologies LLC (no relation to iTrip maker Griffin Technology) on Thursday announced a new cross-platform release of its SecuriKey Professional Edition, a security system for Macs and Windows PCs that restricts access to computers, files and applications.
SecuriKey works using a key-sized USB "token" that secures systems running Mac OS X v10.3 or higher and various versions of Windows. Users enter a password and that unlocks the content on the computer. It's priced at US$129, which includes two USB tokens and security software for both platforms. Additional USB tokens are priced at $49.95 each.
