NewsFire 1.0 newsreader debuts

After an extensive beta testing period, David Watanabe has released version 1.0 of NewsFire, a Really Simple Syndication (RSS)-based newsreader for Mac OS X. The utility sports an interface that uses design cues pulled from Apple's iChat and Safari software, supports all major syndication formats, features user-controlled smart feeds, instant search, support for embedded audio content, external weblog editor support, and much more. NewsFire has been released as shareware and costs US$19.99 to register. It requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
