SpamSieve gains faster Entourage processing, more

Michael Tsai's Bayesian spam filtering software for Mac OS X, SpamSieve, was updated to version 2.2.4 on Thursday. The new release gains faster message processing for Microsoft's Entourage e-mail client, using new scripts, improves its accuracy through better HTML and header processing, can play sounds when mail arrives, adds more standard blocklist rules for non-Latin character sets, and much more. For a complete list of changes, check the Web site. SpamSieve 2.2.4 is a free update for registered users; the software costs US$25 to buy and requires Mac OS X v10.2 or later. It works with most major e-mail clients for the Mac including Apple Mail, Eudora, Mailsmith and others.
