The Apple Developer Connection has published " Providing Application Access to SQL Data in Apple Remote Desktop 2, a new article that helps system administrators, application developers and others understand how to manipulate the data kept in Apple Remote Desktop 2.
Remote Desktop 2 is Apple's desktop management solution for networks. It allows administrators to distribute software, configure systems, perform real-time help, and audit systems. It keeps track of the systems it's being used on through a PostgreSQL database. The new article on Apple's Web site shows you how to gain access to those database contents and use those results in other applications. The article is intended for people who have experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and either experience with the command-line interface or experience with graphical database query tools.
