Media 100 HD 10.1 offers new software codec, more
Optibase division Media 100 on Monday introduced version 10.1 of Media 100 HD, which includes a new Media 100 software codec and other enhancements. The developer said that the new codec speeds the process for users employing Adobe After Effects, as well as similar software, to render QuickTime movies and move them into Media 100HD projects for editing.
This update also includes support for QuickTime V Out, which allows users to play back QuickTime movies while still working in After Effects or other applications, as well as real-time HD playback for flip, flop and color effects in draft mode. Media 100 will make version 10.1 available for download later this week. Contact the company for pricing. Media 100 HD requires a dual processor 2GHz G5 Mac and 1GB RAM.
