Ambrosia Software Inc. has announced the release of Darwinia, an action/strategy game set in a "virtual themepark, running inside a computer network."
The sentient lifeforms of Darwinia are threatened by an evil red Viral Infection. You control a small five-man insertion squad responsible for helping the Darwinians to re-secure their home and exterminate the Red Viral infection that has taken hold. Darwinia is the creation of Introversion, the company with whom Ambrosia collaborated to bring Uplink to the Macintosh.
Darwinia costs US$29 and requires Mac OS X v10.2 or later. You can download the game and try it out before dropping the registration fee.
