nRAID touts 2.5TB of Network Attached Storage

FireWire Depot has announced its nRAID, a Network Attached Storage (NAS) server that features hardware-based RAID level 0, 1, 3 or 5 support with a maximum capacity of up to 2.5 terabytes (TB).

The system supports ATA-133 hard disk drive mechanisms with 48-bit Logical Block Addressing (LBA) support. The RAID can be shared via Ethernet or USB 2.0 and Serial ATA interfaces. The nRAID has five hot-swappable drive trays and an LCD panel that provides monitoring, setup and configuration information. The nRAID is compatible with Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and various versions of Windows and Linux.
