Geek Factor Podcast #1: Bluetooth

The world’s a-buzzing with talk of the next great medium to hit the Internet … the podcast. If you’ve never heard of podcasts, here’s the short version: they’re downloadable audio files you can listen to on your Mac or your iPod, sort of like radio shows, but you program what you listen to.

We here at Macworld have decided to experiment with the Podcast format. And for our first attempt, we’ve taken a page from the magazine and inaugurated the Geek Factor podcast, covering tech topics on an irregular basis.

Former Macworld intern Cyrus Farivar is the host of this Podcast (as well as the author of “Start Your Own Podcast” and “Give your podcast professional polish with Audacity” in the June 2005 issue of Macworld ). In this first 26-minute installment, the topic of choice is Bluetooth. Cyrus talks Bluetooth with Glenn Fleishman, a frequent Macworld contributor.
