WWDC: ActiveState offer new OS X developer tools

ActiveState on Tuesday announced the release of its ActivePerl, ActivePython and ActiveTcl open source language distributions for Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger.” They’re available for download from ActiveState’s Web site.

ActivePerl includes core Perl, the Perl Package Manaager (PPM) for installing CPAN packages, popular modules and online help. ActivePython includes documentation for new and experience Python programmers alike. And ActiveTcl includes Tcl, Tk and essential modules for Tcl programming. The language distributions let programmers work across multiple platforms including Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and Windows. They’re all available for free download — ActiveState also offers OEM licensing.
