North Plains Systems Corp. has announced that its digital asset management (DAM) software TeleScope Enterprise now supports Apple’s Tiger Server and Xsan file system for Xserver RAID storage.
TeleScope Enterprise is a DAM solution aimed at video production, printing and publishing markets. It can integrate and organize media used in projects created from Apple’s Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Digimarc ImageBridge, MS Office, Telestream FlipFactory, QuarkXPress and Virage VideoLogger. The software uses a Web services-based architecture, according to North Plains chief marketing officer Carlos Montalvo.
TeleScope has long-shipped with a Macintosh client that supports AppleScript, but this marks TeleScope’s migration into supporting the Mac as a server platform as well.
