Bare Bones Software Inc. has released TextWrangler v2.1, a new version of their free general purpose text editor. The new release includes bug fixes, refinements and interface enhancements, according to Bare Bones. It’s available for download immediately.
Aimed at system administrators, software developers and other users, TextWrangler features multi-file search capabilities, “grep” pattern matching, function navigation and code coloring, support for FTP and SFTP remote server access, AppleScript and Unix scripting support. What’s more, TextWrangler users can upgrade to Bare Bones’ industrial-strength text and HTML editor, BBEdit, for a discount.
