Rage introduces Google Sitemap Automator

Toronto, Ontario’s Rage Software on Monday introduced Google Sitemap Automator 1.0, which it says is the first Google Sitemap creation tool for the Mac. The new software application costs US$29.95, and a free trial version is available for download.

Google Sitemaps tell search engines like Google about your Web site, instructing them on how to locate and index important documents on your site. Google Sitemaps tell the engines how often the pages are modified and how important each page is relative to other pages on the site.

As the name implies, Google Sitemap Automator automates this process. You create filters and preset conditions, then upload your sitemap to your Web server and notify Google where to find it.
