SubRosaSoft Salvage Suite improves accuracy, more

SubRosaSoft.com LLC on Wednesday announced improvements to its Salvage suite of products, now at version 4.2 — a free update for registered users, available for new users for US$89.95.

The Salvage Suite is designed to help users undelete and recover files in a variety of formats. Improvements in the new 4.2 releases include improved accuracy when salvaging files, more file type support, faster “shredding” of sensitive files you don’t want recovered, and the ability to recover MP3 file names.

SubRosaSoft.com said that the new version of FileSalvage can recover new formats including the new mail format used by Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger’s” Mail application, After Effects, TurboTax and Macromedia Flash files.

The Salvage applications require Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
