Comic Life updated with new styles, more

Plasq has released Comic Life v1.2, a new version of their comic creation software. The new version is a free update for registered user. Comic Life costs US$24.95; a 30-day trial version is available for download.

Comic Life lets you create your own comic strips using your own digital photos. You can lay out pages and panels, crop images, add speech balloons, captions and special effects lettering. Comic Life is .Mac compatible, works with iPhoto image libraries and even supports Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger’s” CoreImage special effects.

New to the 1.2 release is the addition of new built-in “styles” for objects like speech balloons, lettering and templates. Six new fonts have been added. Fixes and improvements have been made to image and text handling, graphics export and iPhoto library integration. File saving now has decreased storage requirements. Various other bug fixes and minor improvements have been made.
