THQ Inc. has announced that it’s shipped The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer for multiple platforms including the Mac. Based on Pixar’s popular film, The Incredibles continues the story of a family of superheroes thrust into the limelight to once again save the world from a dastardly menace.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone must journey underground to the lair of the villanous Underminer, confronting his robot minions and stopping his plans to pollute the major cities of the world. A cooperative gameplay mode lets players switch characters at any point in the game.
THQ launched a computer and video game for The Incredibles at the same time as the movie’s release, for multiple platforms including the Mac. Like that earlier release, Rise of the Underminer was developed by Heavy Iron Studios.
Rise of the Underminer ships on hybrid CD-ROM format for Mac OS X and Windows; system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later and a G4/800MHz or faster processor.
