Macworld Podcast #20: Expo keynote

Steve Jobs opened the Macworld Expo Tuesday morning in San Francisco with a rousing keynote speech. The Apple CEO announced the first new Intel-based Mac—the iMac Core Duo and the MacBook Pro.

In addition to those hardware announcements, Jobs also discussed changes to GarageBand to make it easier to create podcasts. GarageBand 3 is part of the newly updated iLife ’06 suite, which also adds a new application called iWeb.

We’ve got the highlights of Jobs’ speech along with some reaction from Macworld Editorial Director Jason Snell.
