Software MacKiev announced on Friday that Universal Binaries of its have been posted to the company’s Web site. The updates allow the applications to run natively on Apple’s Intel-based Macs. The free Universal updates are available for 3D Weather Globe & Atlas, The Print Shop for Mac version 2.0, and the 2006 World Book Multimedia Encyclopedia. According to company President, Jack Minsky, benchmark tests show that the updated products run up to three times faster on the new Intel Macs than on equivalent Power PC machines.
