Altec Lansing on Thursday introduced its newest portable speaker system for iPods — the inMotion iM11. The iM11 costs $99.95.
The speaker system features a built-in iPod docking station that recharges the iPod’s batteries and lets it connect with a Mac or PC through USB. It works with iPod mini, iPod nano, iPods with dock connectors and iPods with color displays.
The iM11 has two speakers and “MaxxBass” bass enhancing technology. When it’s not in use, it folds into the size of a book for portability. It also includes an input jack for connecting to other audio devices.
Although it comes with a power supply, the iM11 can also run off four AA batteries, and lasts for about 18 hours per set. Also included is a 3.5 mm stereo cable, international power plug set and carrying bag.
