Bare Bones Software has updated its popular HTML and text editor BBEdit to 8.2.5. A free update for registered users, BBEdit 8.2.5 costs $199 for new users.
BBedit is used by Web authors, software developers and others that need powerful text editing tools on their Macintosh. The software touts grep pattern matching, search and replace features that work across multiple files, syntax coloring, function navigation, FTP and SFTP integration, AppleScript, Perl and Mac OS X Unix scripting support and much more.
The new version does not have any new features; it’s a maintenance upgrade that fixes a variety of bugs and issues in the previous release.
