Macworld Podcast #37: 17-inch MacBook Pro

Apple made its presence known at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show in Las Vegas Monday, announcing a 17-inch version of the MacBook Pro laptop. This behemoth of a portable boasts a screen that is 36 percent brighter than before, and features the return of FireWire 800 to Apple laptops. News Director Jim Dalrymple checks in from the show floor at NAB to talk about the latest addition to Apple’s MacBook line and what it means for digital-video pros.

At the end of this podcast, I describe a new contest in which we’ll award prizes to listeners who contribute to future episodes. To win one of our four possible prizes, please send me a audio comment no longer than two minutes asking a question of a Macworld staffer or with some other rant or rave about our coverage or Mac-related news.

I’d prefer the audio file to be in AIFF format, mono at 128 kbps with as little background noise as possible. If you can’t or don’t know how to do that, do your best and we’ll pick our favorites.

We’re giving away a small number of each of these items:

If we use your audio comment on the show, then you will get your choice of one of the above prizes.

Good luck!

Please send your comments (and any other comments or questions) to me by e-mail.
