3D content and software maker DAZ Productions Inc. on Tuesday announced that it has acquired US-based Eovia Corp. and is taking over development of Carrara, Eovia’s 3D modeling software.
DAZ produces 3D models for leading software packages and also publishes Bryce, the 3D landscape generation tool, and Mimic, software used for lip-syncing 3D modeling.
Eovia’s Carrara provides 3D modeling, animation and rendering features. DAZ has also acquired Hexagon, Eovia’s 3D modeling software.
Eovia Europe S.A. is not part of the acquisition, according to a statement released by DAZ. Terms of the acquisition have not yet been released.
