Disc Makers CD/DVD duplicators add Mac support

Disc Makers announced Thursday the expansion of its CD and DVD duplication system line with new Mac-compatible offerings. Disc Makers offers systems starting at $699 for the Mac market.

Disc Makers’ systems are automated — in addition to CD/DVD burners, they include input bins that store stacks of blank media and mechanisms that put the media in place when it’s time to burn another disc.

Disc Makers’ new Mac-compatible offerings include the Elite2, a $2,490 two-drive CD and DVD duplicator that can produce 15 DVDs or 24 CDs per hour (the Elite2 has been Mac-compatible for a while); the Elite 4, a $4,290 four-drive system that can produces 25 DVDs or 30 CDs per hour; the Elite Micro, a one-drive system that comes with or without a printer for $990 or $1,790 respectively; and the Pico, a $699 one-drive unit that can burn 6 DVDs or 12 CDs per hour.

The systems come bundled with Charismac’s Discribe software, which runs on Mac OS X v10.4.3 or later.
