Prosoft Engineering has announced the release of Netware Client for Mac OS X IP Edition Version 2.0, their software to let Mac OS X users communicate with Novell networks using TCP/IP. The software costs $149 per user, with discounts available in bulk.
New features of the 2.0 release include integrated login — the NetWare home directory appears on the desktop. Context information is now provided automatically when the user logs in. Users can now print to a NetWare queue, add jobs and delete those jobs. The browser is now a regular application instead of a menu bar item, and automatically launches in startup if that option is activated.
NetWare Client for Mac OS X IP Edition is a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs. It requires Mac OS X v10.4.2 or later.
Upgrades are available for a discounted price.
