Toon Boom Studio 3.5 adds real-time drop shadows, more

Toon Boom Animation has announced the forthcoming 3.5 update to its popular 2D animation software for Mac OS X and Windows, Toon Boom Studio. The new version is coming in September, and will cost $299.99. Upgrades are available for $99.99.

Toon Boom Studio features drawing tools, automated lip sync, animation tools, multi-format publishing capabilities and more. New features in version 3.5 include animated elements; real-time drop shadow effects; improved tools like the Select Scene Operator, Contour Editor, Color Transform and more; PDF export; and a simplified user interface.

Toom Boom Animation notes that customers who have purchased the current version since August 1, 2006 are entitled to a free upgrade.
