Elgato has released EyeTV 2.3.1, a maintenance update to their Personal Video Recorder (PVR) software for the Macintosh. EyeTV powers Elgato’s EyeTV hardware devices and Mac-compatible PVR hardware made by other vendors as well.
EyeTV enables you to change channels, record video from cable, antenna and satellite onto your Mac’s hard drive, organize video and more. New to this release is an update to the graphical user interface used in the “Full Screen Menu,” which complements Apple’s own Front Row application (and works with the Apple Remote included with Macs that have Front Row pre-installed).
Sort order in which recordings are displayed can be changed and the way to enter and leave EyeTV’s full screen menu using the Apple Remote has been changed.
EyeTV 2.3.1 is a Universal application — system requirements call for a G4/500MHz or faster and Mac OS X v10.4 or later. EyeTV 2.3.1 is a free upgrade for registered EyeTV 2 users.
