Sonnet offers USB car charger for iPod

Sonnet Technologies on Friday announced the release of their $19.95 USB Car Charger for iPod. It charges the battery of any USB-chargeable iPod using the 12-volt accessory jack or cigarette lighter found in automobiles.

Two separate pieces comprise the kit — one is an adapter that plugs into that jack. It terminates in a USB connection, which you can use to connect your iPod shuffle. A coiled cable is included that connects the USB charging port to a dock connector, which you can attach to any iPod that can charge its battery from USB. That includes the iPod mini, iPod nano and fourth and fifth-generation iPods. The kit also provides power filtering and has a user-replaceable fuse. It’s black.
